School Closed until Further Notice - 4th January 2021
School will be closed until further notice after the Government announcement last night (30th December 2020) with exception to keyworkers and vulnerable children.
Dear Mums, Dads and Carers,
Following the announcement by the Education Secretary, Gavin Williamson, this evening, we are writing to confirm that St Paul’s and North Borough fall into an area that will be delaying the full opening of primary schools. This means that we will be closed to all pupils from Monday 4th January. The exception to this will be those children who have parents who are key workers. The list of those jobs that are considered to be key workers can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision
All children who are not at school will be provided with remote learning. Each school will contact you individually with regard to this.
If you consider that you are a key worker and, as such, would like your child to attend school please email either Mrs Chiverton or Mrs Aldridge.
Mrs Chiverton – firstname.lastname@example.org
Mrs Aldridge – SarahA@st-pauls-maidstone.kent.sch.uk
Your email should state:
- your child’s name and class,
- what your job role is,
- which category of key worker you consider your job to come under,
- which days of the week you need a place for your child.
Please email by midday on Friday 1st January to give us as much time as possible to organise everything in school. We know this is very short notice and can only apologise for this. Your child’s school will contact you by Monday to confirm that your child has a place.
Children who are in receipt of free school meals will be provided with either vouchers or food boxes, we will confirm how this will be done as soon as possible.
