Class Dojo is an app and a website that schools use to keep in contact with parents/carers. Parents/carers will be invited to join their child's class page when they begin the academic year.
At St Paul's we use 'Class Dojo' for a number of purposes. Each class within school is set up with its own class page.Within the class page, each child has their own avatar linked to them and their parent/carer.
- Children are awarded points throughout the school day for behaviour, learning, demonstrating our school values, kindness and effort. When a child reaches a certain number of points (10 in reception, 30 in KS1), they are able to choose a new avatar character and start their points at 0 again. The child also receives a certificate to take home, so that their achievements and efforts can be celebrated with their families.
- Class Dojo has a 'message' feature, which allows families and staff to connect and share information. Staff may contact parents/carers via the messaging system about any first aid incidents, behaviour and any other day to day information.
- Class Dojo also has a 'Class Story' page, where staff can post home learning, upcoming events, reminders, letters and more information.
- 'Portfolios' can be used by children/parents/carers to share photos/videos/evidence of any home learning too.
