Admissions

Admissions to St Paul's

Admissions to St Paul's Infant School are managed by Kent County Council (KCC). If you wish to apply for a place during the school year (an in-year admission), you should complete a Kent County Council In-Year Admission Form (IYAF). A separate application form is required for each child and for each school you are applying to.

You can find the In-Year Admission Form and further information on the Kent County Council website:

www.kent.gov.uk/education-and-children/schools/school-places/move-to-a-different-school

Oversubscription Criteria

When there are more applications than places available, admissions are prioritised using the following criteria:

  1. Children in Local Authority Care and previously looked after children (including internationally adopted previously looked after children).
  2. Children with a current family association (siblings already attending the school).
  3. Children with health or special access needs that make attendance at the school particularly appropriate.
  4. Distance from the child's home to the school, with priority given according to proximity.

For full details of our admissions arrangements, please refer to the current Admissions Policy.

Transferring to Junior School

Children who are attending St Paul’s are guaranteed admission to North Borough Junior School. You may, however, choose to apply to an alternative junior school.

Parents may apply using the online process available at www.kent.gov.uk/ola or by completing a paper form called a Junior Common Application Form (JCAF).  This form can be downloaded from www.kent.gov.uk/primaryadmissions  Applications can be made between November and January of the academic year, prior to your child starting school.
