Poppy Memorial 2017

Symbolic paper poppies for Remembrance Day

This week at St Paul’s every child had the opportunity to create a paper poppy, symbolic of Remembrance Day. The poppies collectively formed a vibrant, outside display visible to our school community, visitors and passers-by, inspired by large scale displays at various land marks in Britain such as Windsor Castle.  The children put into practise the school values of togetherness and respect, and learnt about how the Armed Forces work hard to keep us all safe. St Paul’s sits within a diverse community, and we are especially proud of our historic links with the barracks. We hope our vision was enjoyed by everyone, but particularly our Service families.
