Tuesday 21st July

PDF version available at the bottom of this page.

Good Morning Year R, please see below the activities we would like you to do today. Remember you can take photos (if you have made, shown or drawn something) or use your exercise book to write any sentences or complete any number sentences. You can ask your grown-up to put your work on Tapestry so we can see what you have been up to. Also, please use this link to access daily speed sound phonics:

We hope you have fun!

LO:  I can write words and simple sentences.

Tomorrow is the last day of term and we will be having a socially distanced party in our bubbles to celebrate! You could have a party at home too! If you are unable to see your friends, you could always video call them and have a virtual party!

Can you write a list of all of the things you need to have or do at a party?

Here are some picture clues to help you think about things to add to your list:

You could also write a list of the game you would like to play, or if you are having a virtual party you could write some invitations to your friends!

LO: I can subitise numbers to 6.

Play a dice game- can you remember how to subitise a number? Subitising is being able to tell the number of objects in a set, quickly, without counting- the dot pattern on dice help us to do this. To further extend your learning you could play the attached games, subitising two numbers, adding them together and then colouring the object labelled with your resulting number, or the grid game involving subtraction.

LO: I can use different materials to construct with a purpose in mind.

Can you make a party hat to celebrate your time in Reception this year? You can add as much colour/sparkle/glitter as you’d like! Make sure you keep them for tomorrow.

Stay safe, best wishes from Miss Gill, Miss Baldwin and Mrs Gedge xxx
