PDF version available at the bottom of this page.

Good Morning Year 1, please see below the activities we would like you to do today. Remember you can take photos (if you have made, shown or drawn something) or use your exercise book to write any sentences or complete any number sentences.

We hope you have fun!

English

LO:  I can talk about how a text that has been listened to links with my personal experience.

Activity:

Today we would like you to sit and read ‘Jakes first day’ with your grown-ups.  We would like you to stop at different points and consider how this links to how you might be feeling about coming to school, moving into year 2 etc. Have a discussion with your grown-ups about how you think your first day will be and what you think you might get up to in your new classroom.

This week we have got some fun activities for you to solve ready for your summer holidays. Attached is your own booklet with a variety of different activities. For all of these challenges you will need the skills that we have learnt across the year. Today we would like you to complete the first 4 activities (up to and including the Eye Spy up to 20).

Connected Curriculum (Computing)

LO: I can recognise technology in the outside world.

Activity:

As we have been thinking about our new classrooms, we would like you to have a look at a picture of your new classroom and have a think about the different technology that we can use. Some of the technology might be more visible than others so think carefully. You can choose whether you would like to print the picture and annotate what you can see, write a list or just have a chat with your grown-ups about the different technology. Remember there may be some technology that just the grown-ups can use and some that you might use to help you with your learning.
